Academic Advising

Advisors are currently available for remote Advising through Webex or Microsoft Teams.

New Student Advising
New Students seeking Advising will first have to complete the mandatory online orientation before scheduling their Academic Planning planning session for the next semester. The Orientation is broken down into three sections and takes no more than 2 hours to complete. You will not be able to save your work in the middle of a section and will therefore need to fully complete at least one section at a time. Consequently, it is very important that you arrange for enough time on your calendar to get through the orientation in its entirety. Once you've completed the mandatory online orientation, an Advising Staff Member will reach out to you to schedule an Advising Session based upon your completion of the ACCUPLACER placement test and/or SAT scores.

Continuing Student Advising
Continuing students who are in their third semester or higher at Housatonic are encouraged to make every effort to contact their faculty advisor via email to discuss suggested courses for the upcoming semesters. Here is a list of faculty advisors by program. Learn more about Continuing Student Advising here.
